Technology
Engineered for the air Delhi breathes.
Icaria isn't a consumer gadget. It's a building system — a four-stage clean-room-grade filtration core, built to hold one interior at Blue Zone air quality.

The Icaria Filtration System
Four stages between the city and your lungs.
Outdoor air enters the outdoor unit and passes through four progressively finer stages. Particles are stripped first, gases last. What reaches your ceiling vent is air the city cannot produce on its own.

HEPA 14 — 50 mm
50 mm depth · 99.995% @ 0.3µm
PM2.5 · PM1 · Bacteria · Smoke
The heart of the machine. Five times the media depth means five times the surface area — trapping 99.995% of particles at 0.3 microns, including the ultrafine PM2.5 and PM1 that define a Delhi winter.
Why HEPA 14
Ten times fewer particles get through.
Most home purifiers stop at HEPA 13. On paper the difference looks like a rounding error — 99.95% versus 99.995%. In practice, H13 lets ten times more particles through. Over a Delhi winter, breathing 24 hours a day, that gap is the whole point.
Efficiency at 0.3 µm
Particles escaping per 100,000
PM1 / ultrafine capture
Rated for hospital clean rooms
Icaria uses two H14 stages — a 10 mm and a 50 mm — because clean-room grade filtration should not be a premium upgrade.
Water-resistant lining
Monsoon-proof filters. Because the unit lives outside.
A HEPA filter's worst enemy isn't dust — it's moisture. Damp media loses efficiency, warps, and grows what you're trying to filter out. Every Icaria filter is built with a hydrophobic, water-resistant lining, so Delhi humidity and monsoon spray never reach the media.
- Hydrophobic lining repels water, passes air.
- No mould or bacterial growth inside the media.
- Rated efficiency holds through monsoon humidity.
- Weather-sealed housing with drained intake.
Hydrophobic
Water beads off the lining instead of soaking into the pleats.
Sealed
Weatherproof housing keeps rain out of the filtration chamber.
Stable media
Pleats keep their geometry, so airflow and rating never drift.
Hygienic
Dry media means no damp surface for microbial growth.
Positive pressure
We don't just clean the air. We hold the line.
Conventional purifiers recirculate the same indoor air. Icaria works differently: it supplies filtered outdoor air continuously, so the interior is designed to operate at a slight positive pressure. Air tends to move outward through the small gaps around windows, doors and walls — rather than drawing unfiltered air inward.
- Designed to operate at a slight, continuous positive pressure indoors.
- Supplies filtered outdoor air rather than recirculating indoor air.
- Continuous fresh-air supply, so the home is never sealed shut.
WHO guidelines · Design reference
Built with the world's strictest guideline in view
The WHO air-quality guidelines are the reference point Icaria is engineered around. Rather than publish performance figures we have not formally tested, we state plainly what each stage of the system is designed to do.
5 µg/m³ annual mean
Two HEPA 14 stages target fine particulate in the incoming air.
15 µg/m³ annual mean
The G4 pre-filter captures coarse dust before it reaches the HEPA media.
No single guideline value
Activated carbon addresses gaseous contaminants and unwanted odours.
Ventilation, not recirculation
Filtered outdoor air is supplied continuously instead of being recycled.
